Patrice began piano at the age of 7. She began her degree in the DIT Conservatory of music in 2002, where she studied piano with Evelyn Healy and organ with Una Russell. During her time there she won many prizes for both instruments including the Senior and Stanford prize in the Feis Ceoil. She has participated in numerous courses including the Académie de Musique Tibor Varga in Switzerland, the Oundle Academy in Cambridge and Chethams Summer school for Pianists. She graduated with First Class Honours in 2006. She also holds numerous diplomas including ALCM and LTCL. Patrice is pursuing performance doctoral studies in the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Dr David Adams. Patrice has been teaching for Pianos Plus School since 2007.
Varazdat Khachatryan was born in Armenia and began playing piano at five years old. He has performed extensively as a soloist in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Armenia, Russia, Lebanon, Syria and the Czech Republic. He has won numerous prestigious awards, including first prize in the Peter Donohoe piano competition and the Delia Hall Accompanist Prize. He holds Masters of Music degrees piano and choral conducting and an Advanced Postgraduate degree in piano performance (Aspirantura) from Yerevan State Conservatoire; and PgDip, MMus degrees in piano performance and MMus in piano accompaniment from Birmingham Conservatoire. In 2014, Varazdat was awarded the Fiosraigh scholarship from Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama (DIT), where he is currently pursuing his PhD degree.
Sifan has a Masters in Composition from Trinity College Dublin and a BA in Performance from Tianjin Conservatory of China, graduating with first class honours. Sifan has been teaching and performing for over 15 years. Her teaching methodology has benefited from her educational and teaching experience in both China and Ireland.
Graduated from State University of Arts, Chisinau, Moldova, having specialised in music education. She continued her studies with Siobhán Kilkelly in DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Ana holds Associate and Licentiate Diplomas in Performance from the London College of Music and Diploma of Pianoforte Performance, LLCM, from the University of West London.
Rita Bowens is an honours BA Music graduate of the Waterford Institute of Technology, holds a Masters in Performance from the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama and LRIAM Performance Diploma from the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she studied with Dr. David Mooney and Deirdre Doyle respectively. She has competed and accompanied extensively throughout her 15 years in teaching. She has been working in a Dublin-based primary school for the last 10 years as the Head of the Music Department, teaching classroom-based musicianship to children ranging in ages from 4 to 12.
Jimmy Goeijenbier was born in the Netherlands but received his first piano lessons in Ireland from his mother at the age of five. He completed his Bachelor of Piano Performance degree with First Class Honours at the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Dr. Mary Lennon. Jimmy completed his master’s degree in piano performance at the University of Washington in June 2018, where he studied with renowned concert pianist and pedagogue Craig Sheppard. Notable awards include multiple first prizes in competitions at the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin Feis Ceoil, and Sligo Feis Ceoil, and a licentiate diploma from Trinity College of Music with distinction. He has performed in the National Concert Hall,, Áras an Uachtaráin, and has given recitals in the Netherlands, Romania and the United States.
Jimmy is also an accomplished accompanist, but most of all enjoys teaching piano and sharing his knowledge of a wide repertoire for this instrument, with anyone who has the desire to learn.
Joshua Murtagh studied piano with Dr. David Mooney in the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, graduating with a BMus performance degree in 2016. He also holds a performance diploma from the Trinity College of Music London. Joshua joined Pianos Plus School in 2017.
